This is a full-time, one year programme. Students attaining a Bachelor of Arts in Montessori Education with a grade of merit are eligible to apply. The programme consists of eight modules and is available in Dublin only.

Comparative Methodologies: The comparison/application of other teaching methodologies with Montessori Methodology.
Work-Based Teaching Induction: The development of reflective practice, competence and responsibility in a real teaching situation.
Educational Psychology: The application of psychology to self-development and the development of teaching skills.
Inclusive Education and Sociology: The advancement of the awareness of social issues and the consequent need for inclusive education.
Philosophy of Education: The benefits of philosophy and its relevance to education.
Research Methods: An introduction to research methods and engagement in a minor case study.
State System and Curriculum Studies: a study of the state system of primary education and the role of assessment in effective teaching and learning.

Continuous Assessment and End of Year Examinations – Written and Practical.
Assessment includes written assignments, oral presentations, seminars and teaching.
