SNMCI Open Days

madewithOver

We are having an Open Evening for students interested in finding out more about Montessori Teaching qualifications in our Dublin campus.

SNMCI Open Day

12th February 2018th

1600hrs to 1930hrs

16 Adelaide St., Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin

For the past number of years, Saint Nicholas Montessori College Ireland (SNMCI) has been working with a number of Further Education Colleges, with a view to providing progression and advanced entry onto its Level 7 Bachelor of Arts in Montessori Education. Level 6 Students, having completed Awards such as 6M2007 (Early Childhood Care and Education with Montessori), are eligible to pursue exemptions and advanced entry onto SNMCI’s higher education programmes. This has enabled some to complete the Level 7 Programme within a year in some instances, where there is a very close fit between the first two years of the SNMCI programme and the award you present for examination.

Monday 12th February 2018 is an opportunity for you to meet with SNMCI lecturers and to address any questions or issues you may have. If you bring copies of your QQI FET awards, it should be possible to give you a guide on possible exemptions. If you have other qualifications such as social studies, nursing or other health care awards, and would like to pursue our programme, bring your parchments/ transcript of results and let us see what exemptions you may secure.

Why study with SNMCI?
 SNMCI has a long and rich history as the leading higher education Montessori provider in Ireland;
 You will study in small class groupings at convenient times which allow you to continue working;
 Your education is overseen by lecturing staff, who are expert in the constantly changing early years education environment;
 Once you start your course, you will be supported at all stages through your study – we have very high retention rates;
 Your employment prospects are significantly enhanced as you are eligible to become a Room Leader under the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) scheme;
 You can pay your fees through instalments;
 If you pursue your study on a full-time basis, you may be eligible to claim SUSI grants;

It is also worth noting that most Level 7 graduates continue with their study onto the SNMCI Level 8 Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Montessori Education. If you successfully complete this programme, you are eligible to register with The Teaching Council, which opens the opportunity for a teaching career in Special Education settings in Primary Schools or in Special Schools.

Drop in and meet us on Monday, 12th February 2018. The Open Evening will take place in our premises in Adelaide Street in Dún Laoghaire (1600hrs and finishes at 1900hrs) .

We would look forward to seeing you
